RF Fresnel Calculator (the "App") is developed by Dev_K ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. It applies to the App on Android and iOS.
| Information | Why it is used | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Precise location (only if you allow it, and only while the App is open) | To centre the map on where you are and to use your position as a site. | Used on your device. If you use your position as a site, its coordinates are sent to the map and terrain services in section 3, like any other point you mark. We do not receive or store it. The App does not use location in the background. |
| Map points and coordinates you mark or enter | To work out terrain profiles, Fresnel clearance, coverage and routes. | Sent to the elevation, terrain and map services in section 3. |
| Place search text | To find the place you search for. | Sent to Google Places (Android) or Apple Maps (iOS). |
| Files you open (KML, KMZ, GPX) and reports you save | To show your routes and sites, and to save or share reports. | Processed and stored on your device only. A report leaves your device only when you choose to share it. |
| Settings, history and free-analysis credits | To remember your preferences and past work. | Stored on your device only. |
| Purchases (Pro and Max subscriptions) | To unlock the features you paid for. | Handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The App only receives whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details. |
| Advertising and device information (free version only; see section 2) | To show ads, measure them and prevent ad fraud. | Collected by Unity LevelPlay (Unity Ads). |
The free version of the App shows ads, including optional rewarded ads that unlock an analysis. Ads are provided by Unity LevelPlay (Unity Technologies). To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Unity may collect:
Unity handles this information under its own privacy policy: Unity Privacy Policy.
The App relies on these services. Each receives only what it needs to answer the App's request, as described above, and handles it under its own policy:
These services, like any server, may see your device's IP address when the App contacts them.
We do not keep any of your data, because none of it is sent to us. Everything the App stores (settings, history, files and reports) stays on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes it, as does clearing the App's data in your device settings.
Information collected by Unity for advertising is kept and deleted under Unity's policy. You can make requests about it through Unity's privacy page linked above. You can also contact us at the address below and we will help.
All connections the App makes to the services above use encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use the protections the platforms provide.
The App is a professional radio-planning tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and information has been collected by an ad provider, contact us and we will help to have it removed.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use for advertising. Because we hold no personal information ourselves, these requests are best made to the services listed above. We will gladly help if you contact us. You can withdraw location access at any time in your device settings, and a subscription removes ads entirely.
We may update this policy when the App changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
