This policy explains what Mealy - What should i cook? (“the app”, package com.devvratkalia.whattocook) does with your information. It is written to describe what the app actually does, not what it might do.

The short version. The app has no accounts and no sign-in. Your plans, settings and solar values are stored on your device only — we operate no server and cannot see them.

1. Information stored on your device

The following is written to your device's local storage and is never transmitted to us:

Saved plans — the transmit and receive locations, time window and solar snapshot for each plan you save.
Preferences — theme, default grid square, distance units, UTC/local display preference, and whether onboarding has been completed.

Uninstalling the app removes all of it. You can also clear the cached solar data at any time from Settings.

3. Network requests the app makes

The app is designed to keep working without any of these. With no network connection, planning, the frequency matrix, the RF chart, saved plans and the band reference all continue to function using cached or manually entered values.

4. Advertising

The free tier shows ads through Unity LevelPlay (formerly ironSource) mediation. These SDKs may collect advertising identifiers and device information to select and measure ads. That data is processed by those providers under their own policies:

On iOS you are asked for App Tracking Transparency permission before any advertising identifier is used. Declining is respected. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in system settings. Purchasing a Pro subscription removes ads.

5. Subscriptions

Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those platforms process the purchase and hold the payment information. The app only receives whether an active entitlement exists.

6. Artificial intelligence features

The app contains an optional AI explanation feature. When it is enabled, the text of your query is sent to the configured AI provider to generate a response. Before this can happen the app shows a disclosure naming the provider and its endpoint, and requires your explicit acceptance. If you do not accept, nothing is sent. This feature is disabled in the current release.

7. What we do not do

No accounts, no sign-in, no profile.
No analytics or crash-reporting SDK collecting your usage.
No selling or sharing of personal information.
No background location, and no location transmitted anywhere.
No server operated by us that holds your data.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Your choices

Deny or revoke location permission — the app remains fully usable.
Decline App Tracking Transparency on iOS, or reset your advertising ID on Android.
Clear cached solar data from Settings.
Delete saved plans individually, or uninstall the app to remove everything.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated. Material changes will also be reflected in the in-app copy of this policy.
