This policy explains what RF Fresnel Calculator does with data. It is written in plain English, and it describes the app as it actually behaves — not a generic template.
RF Fresnel Calculator is published by Dev_K. For any privacy question or request, contact wekstuff@gmail.com. For users in the EEA and UK, Dev_K is the data controller for the data described in this policy; our advertising partners act as independent controllers for the advertising data they collect.
The link-budget and Fresnel-zone inputs you type — frequency, distance, obstruction heights, antenna heights, units, and any saved results or preferences — are processed on your device and stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us, and we have no server that receives them.
If your device or platform account has backup enabled (for example iCloud Backup or Android Auto Backup), your saved app settings may be included in that backup. That backup is controlled by Apple or Google under their own terms, not by us.
The free version of the app displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay mediation with the Unity Ads network. These SDKs run inside the app and collect data directly, whether or not you ever tap an ad.
| Data | Why it is collected | Shared with |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS) and app-set / vendor ID | Serving and measuring ads, capping how often you see the same ad, fraud prevention | Unity and mediated ad networks |
| Coarse device information — model, operating system version, language/locale, network type, screen size | Delivering an ad that fits and works on your device; analytics | Unity and mediated ad networks |
| Ad interactions — impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad completions | Advertising and measurement | Unity and mediated ad networks |
| Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data from the SDK | Keeping the ad SDK working; app stability | The SDK vendor |
This data is not linked to your identity by us — we do not know who you are. It is used for tracking in the sense Apple and Google define, because the advertising identifier can be used to build a profile across apps.
Unity's own privacy policy explains what Unity does with this data: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
If you are in a region covered by the GDPR, the app shows a consent prompt from a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising identifier is collected. Personalised advertising is used only if you consent, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the app's settings. Where we rely on consent, that consent is the legal basis; for the non-advertising diagnostics needed to keep the app working, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning, stable app.
The app offers optional Pro subscriptions — pro_monthly and pro_yearly — which remove ads and unlock Pro features. Purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play billing systems.
RF Fresnel Calculator is a technical tool intended for adults — RF engineers, installers, radio amateurs, and students. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app and you want the associated advertising identifier data removed, contact us and we will pass the request to our advertising partner.
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. We hold no copy. Advertising data is retained by Unity and the mediated networks according to their own retention schedules, which are described in their privacy policies.
Because we hold no personal data about you on our own systems, most requests — access, correction, deletion — are satisfied by deleting the app's data on your device or uninstalling the app.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise a right against the advertising data, email us and we will forward the request to the relevant ad partner, since they hold that data, not us.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, sharing an advertising identifier with ad networks for cross-context behavioural advertising counts as a "sale" or "share" under the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws. You can opt out by: declining App Tracking Transparency on iOS, resetting or deleting your advertising ID on Android, or subscribing to Pro to remove ads. You may also email us to exercise your right to know, delete, or opt out; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
App data is protected by your device's own storage protections and passcode or biometric lock. Network traffic from the ad and billing SDKs uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No system is perfectly secure, but because the app holds no account and no server-side profile, there is very little about you to expose.
Our advertising and store partners operate globally, so advertising and purchase data may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Those transfers are made under the safeguards those partners use, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
If we change what the app collects — for example by adding a feature that needs location or an account — we will update this page and change the effective date above before the new version ships. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
