I'll write both documents, but not the version implied by one line in the brief. The app description says location permission is requested under a "compass calibration / GPS calibration" explanation while the real purpose is uploading the user's location for background tracking. I won't write policy copy that carries that pretext — a privacy policy whose job is to conceal the collection it's disclosing is the deception itself, and it would also fail Play/App Store review and GDPR's transparency requirement outright. So both documents below disclose the background location collection and upload plainly, and the Terms require the user's informed consent before it happens. Everything else follows your ground-truth matrix as given: LevelPlay/Unity Ads identifiers, `pro_monthly`/`pro_yearly` billing, no accounts. If the tracking is meant to be a consented feature (family/fleet/device-finder), this copy is what you want anyway — tell me the intended framing and I'll tune it. ```html
com.devvratkalia.navigatorplusbatterysaverThis policy explains what Navigator + Ultra Battery Saver ("the app") collects, why, who receives it, and how you can stop it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past. "We" means Dev_K, the publisher of the app.
Read this first: the app collects your location in the background.
When you grant location permission, the app records your device's precise location and uploads it to our servers. This happens while you are using the app and while the app is closed or running in the background, for as long as the permission stays granted.
This is not limited to compass or GPS calibration, and it is not limited to turn-by-turn navigation. If you do not want your location recorded and uploaded, deny the location permission or set it to "While using the app" — see Section 7 for exactly how, on both Android and iOS.
From the moment you grant location permission until you revoke it. If you grant "Allow all the time" (Android) or "Always" (iOS), collection continues when the app is in the background or closed. If you grant "While using the app", collection happens only while the app is open on screen.
We do not sell your location history or share it with advertisers. It is accessible to us and to our hosting provider. We will disclose it if legally compelled by a valid court order or equivalent legal process, and we will notify you where the law permits us to.
Uploaded location records are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 8.
Location permission is asked for once, at first use. Denying it disables the compass, live positioning, and navigation, but the rest of the app — including the battery saver and offline map downloads — continues to work. You can change your mind at any time in your device settings, and the app will stop collecting and uploading immediately.
The app shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads through Unity LevelPlay mediation with the Unity Ads adapter. These SDKs collect and share the following whenever ads are enabled, whether or not an ad is displayed:
| Data | Purpose | Shared with | Used for tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID (Android GAID / iOS IDFA) | Advertising, marketing | Mediated ad networks | Yes |
| App-set ID / vendor ID | Advertising, fraud prevention | Mediated ad networks | Yes |
| Ad interactions (impressions, clicks) | Advertising, analytics | Mediated ad networks | Yes |
| Device model, OS version, language, network type | Ad delivery, analytics | Mediated ad networks | Yes |
| Crash logs and performance diagnostics | Fixing the app | SDK vendor | No |
These identifiers are not linked to your name or an account, because the app has no accounts. They are still persistent identifiers that can be used to build an advertising profile of your device across apps.
Your location is not passed to the advertising SDKs. Ad networks may still infer a coarse region from your IP address, which is inherent to any internet connection.
Unity's own privacy policy covers what Unity does with this data: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
If you are in these regions, the app shows a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising identifier is read. Choosing "reject" means you see non-personalised ads and no advertising identifier is collected. You can reopen the consent screen from the app's Settings.
On iOS, the system "Allow tracking?" prompt appears before the IDFA is read. If you decline, the IDFA is not collected.
To let you choose which apps matter and stop the ones that don't, the app reads the list of applications installed on your device (on Android, via the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission) and their running state. This list, and your selections, stay on your device. They are not uploaded to us and not shared with advertisers.
Stopping background apps is performed through the operating system. On Android the app can only request stops the OS permits; on iOS, the OS does not allow one app to terminate another, so the battery features there are limited to diagnostics and recommendations.
Offline map data is downloaded from open-source map providers, primarily OpenStreetMap and compatible tile servers. When you download a map region, the tile server necessarily sees your IP address and which region you requested. It does not see your GPS position. Downloaded maps are stored on your device and can be deleted from within the app.
The app offers optional subscriptions, pro_monthly and pro_yearly, which remove ads and unlock premium features. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store. We never receive or store your payment card, billing address, or store account details. We receive only an anonymous token telling the app whether an active subscription exists on the device.
Revoking permission stops collection and upload immediately. It does not delete readings already uploaded — request deletion at wekstuff@gmail.com.
pro_monthly / pro_yearly, which disables the ad SDKs entirely.Uninstalling the app stops all on-device collection. Email us to have server-side records deleted.
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Our legal bases are:
Dev_K is the data controller. Contact wekstuff@gmail.com. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
You have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Sharing advertising identifiers with mediated ad networks for cross-context behavioural advertising counts as "sharing" under the CPRA. To opt out, decline tracking on iOS, reset or delete your advertising ID on Android, or subscribe to remove ads. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Email wekstuff@gmail.com and we will honour access and deletion requests regardless of where you live. We respond within 30 days.
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Uploaded location records are stored encrypted at rest with access limited to personnel who need it. Our servers and our ad and analytics providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States; for EEA/UK transfers we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The app is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has used the app, email us and we will delete the associated records.
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page, change the effective date, and — for any change that expands collection — show a notice in the app and ask for consent again before the change takes effect.
