DocOffice Privacy Policy
Effective date: 13 October 2026
DocOffice is an office app for documents, spreadsheets and presentations on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, made by Devvrat Kalia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: your files stay on your device.
In short
- No ads. DocOffice shows no advertising and contains no advertising code.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for or log in to.
- No tracking, no analytics. We don't follow what you do in the app, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. We receive no data about you or how you use DocOffice.
- Your files stay on your device. DocOffice opens, edits and saves your documents, spreadsheets and presentations on your device. It never sends them to us or to anyone else.
What DocOffice stores, and where
DocOffice keeps what it needs on your device:
- the files you create in DocOffice, in its own folder;
- the files you open from elsewhere (the Files app, Finder, or another app): DocOffice reads them and saves your edits back where they are; when it can't write to the original, it offers to save a copy in its own folder;
- a list of your recent files, with a small picture of each file's first page;
- your settings, such as the page size for new documents, digit grouping, theme and the author name you choose to have saved in files you create.
None of this is uploaded anywhere by DocOffice. We have no servers that hold your files, so we cannot see, read or recover them.
Author name. If you enter an author name in Settings, DocOffice writes it into the files you create, as Word, Excel and PowerPoint do. Anyone you share those files with can see it.
Deleting your data. You can remove files from Recents and delete files you made in DocOffice at any time. Uninstalling DocOffice removes everything it stored in its own folder on that device. Files you opened in place from elsewhere, files you shared or exported, and your device's own backups are not affected.
Device backups. If your device's own backup is turned on, it can include DocOffice's folder, as it does for any app. This covers iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, a backup of your Mac, and Android's backup to your Google account. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple or Google under their terms. We have no access to them.
Sharing and exporting
When you share a file, export a PDF or a picture of a slide, or print, DocOffice hands the file to the system's share sheet, save panel or print dialog. Where it goes from there is your choice and is governed by the app or service you pick.
Purchases
DocOffice Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google handle the payment; DocOffice never sees your card or payment details. The app only learns what you own (for example, "Pro, yearly, in a free trial until 20 October") so it can unlock Pro, and it keeps that on your device. Restoring purchases asks the store again.
Permissions
DocOffice asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it:
- Notifications. Only after you start a free trial, and only if you tap "Remind Me": DocOffice then schedules one notification, on your device, two days before the trial ends. You can turn it off in your device's settings.
- Photos. When you insert a picture, the system's photo picker opens and DocOffice receives only the picture you choose.
- Files. When you open or save a file elsewhere, the system's file picker or save panel gives DocOffice access to that file only.
Libraries
DocOffice is built with Flutter and a small set of libraries for files, printing, sharing, purchases and notifications. None of them collect data about you or send it anywhere. DocOffice includes no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising libraries.
Contacting us
If you write to us at wekstuff@gmail.com, we use your email address and what you tell us only to reply. We don't add it to any list.
Children's privacy
DocOffice is a general-audience productivity app. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Because we don't collect or hold personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on our side. Your files and settings are on your device, where you control them. If you have a question about your privacy, write to us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change ever meant DocOffice handled your information differently, the app would tell you before it happened.
